In the Harbor (released in 2005) is a solo piano album that features music composed and arranged by Yuri Mamchur. Instrumental compositions are performed by Dr. Kenton Lee, the Fine Arts Minister of Life Center in Tacoma, WA.
The piano featured on the In the Harbor is the retired Billy Joel's 9-foot Steinway, recorded at Jim Bredouw's "Friend's Place" Studio on Orcas Island in Washington State. In the Harbor is a tribute to the beautiful Pacific Northwest where Yuri has spent many years as a guest and a resident. The album's songs were composed in Moscow, Russia, and on Orcas Island, WA. The album is mastered, produced, and distributed in Washington State, making it a truly local project. The album’s front cover features a stunning view of Gig Harbor, Washington and the state's famous Mt. Rainier. |
